Senior Officers

Thomas has 35 years in the energy industry in various capacities including government industry associations as well as private and public oil companies. Since 1994, Thomas has been an independent businessman, involved with a variety of business and not-for-profit organizations. During this time he has been involved in the founding of two capital pool companies and the successful re-capitalization of a TSX oil and gas company which involved raising more than $100,000,000 from public markets. His roles have included board of director responsibilities, senior management, legal affairs, investor relations, project and corporate analysis, treasury and finance, and oil and gas liquids marketing.

Prior to joining Forent Energy in April 2007, Ian acquired 20 years of experience as an interpreting geophysicist with EnCana evaluating hydrocarbon potential and selecting drilling locations in Western Canada, the Gulf of Mexico, the Middle East, and the Canadian East Coast. He brings to Forent very strong experience in hydrocarbon prospecting, new play evaluation, exploration strategy, risk assessment & portfolio management.

Larry has over 40 years of Geological experience in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin with Management experience in Senior, Intermediate and Junior Resource Companies. During his tenure Larry has been involved in the growth of various companies through extensive drilling and acquisitions which include convention and unconventional targets.

Paul is a Professional Geologist with over 27 years of oil and gas experience. Previously COO/Director of RIA Resources Corporation, a small, public junior oil and gas company listed on the TSX. Paul has held senior positions with both international and domestic companies and has been director of several private and public companies. He brings to Forent Energy diverse technical knowledge that includes evaluations, dispositions/acquisitions, field development and exploration to enhance the Company’s value.

Paul has been a member of the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists, American Association Petroleum Geologists and Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta for the past 24 years.

Prior to joining Forent, Ryan was the Manager of Financial Reporting for a Toronto Stock Exchange listed company with oil and gas production in Western Canada. In this position he was responsible for the overall financial reporting requirements of the company, along with the development and implementation of the internal control policies and procedures of the company. He completed his articling with Deloitte & Touch LLP where his focus was auditing energy and energy service companies. He obtained the Chartered Accountant designation in 2005.

Crosby is a graduate engineer from the University of Calgary and has worked for the last 5 years consulting for a number of oil and gas companies providing engineering services that have included reservoir analysis, project & corporate evaluations, as well as, drilling, completions and operations engineering. Crosby has been involved with numerous oil and gas projects ranging from conventional oil & gas to CBM, to heavy oil, to exploratory drilling projects in Nova Scotia. Crosby is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA), the Canadian Association of Drilling Engineers (CADE) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
