Forent’s balanced operations strategy includes short-term, lower-risk oil development drilling in Western Canada; medium-term, high return Nova Scotia Reef oil exploration; and long-term, very high return Nova Scotia shale gas development.

Forent’s operations at Ferrybank, Caroline, Provost, Huxley, Richdale, Alberta and Mervin Saskatchewan produced an average of 250 boe/d in Q1 2011, weighted 71 percent to oil. Forent’s Western Canada properties hold heavy oil development drilling targets, plus an inventory of low-cost well optimization candidates.

Forent holds an operated, 100 percent working interest in the 514,000-acre Alton Block. The Alton bock has a 200 square mile oil reef fairway with the potential for 10-15 reefs with 31.4 mmbbls OOIP per reef, plus a 240 square mile shale gas fairway with the potential for a multi-TCF gas play.
