Mr. Hartzler, P.Eng. has worked in the Canadian oil and gas industry for more than 40 years. His early industry experience was in the area of field operations, completion and facilities construction, with field time spent in Rainbow Lake, Rocky Mountain House and the Crossfield regions of west central Alberta. He then moved into the economic and reserve evaluations field of the industry and was employed by the firm which today is known as GLJ Petroleum Consultants. Mr. Hartzler subsequently moved into senior management roles for both private and public companies, including Poco Petroleum Ltd, Penn West Petroleum Ltd, Birchill Resources Ltd, Goose River Resources Ltd, G2 Resources Ltd and Kallisto Energy Ltd.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Wade is a Professional Engineer registered in Alberta and Saskatchewan, and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree from the University of Regina. Mr. Wade has extensive experience in the energy industry in various capacities including field operations management, drilling and completion operations, oil and gas reserve evaluation, as well as acquisition/divestiture evaluation. Mr. Wade has held positions of increasing responsibility from major international firms to grass root start up organizations including Mobil Oil Canada, Elk Point Resources, Calver Resources, Western Gas Resources, Lario Oil and Gas Company and Central Global Resources ULC. His roles have included functional engineering duties for drilling, completion, facility specification & design, emergency response, senior management and board of director responsibilities.
Vice President, Exploration
Mr. Laska has over 26 years of exploration and development experience across the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. He obtained his Master’s degree in Business Administration and cross trained in Reservoir Engineering while working for PanCanadian Petroleum. Mr. Laska has held positions of increasing responsibility with both senior and junior exploration and production companies including Ultramar Oil and Gas, PanCanadian Petroleum, Elk Point Resources and Lario Oil and Gas Company. His technical strengths include prospect generation and evaluation, acquisition evaluation and upside determination, reserves evaluations and corporate strategic planning.
Vice President, Geophysics
Mr. Shook has over 23 years of experience as an interpreting geophysicist with Forent and PanCanadian/EnCana. Mr. Shook has vast experience in evaluating hydrocarbon potential and selecting drilling locations in Western Canada, Northern Canada, the Gulf of Mexico, the Middle East, and the Canadian East Coast. He brings to Forent very strong experience in hydrocarbon prospecting, new play evaluation, exploration strategy, risk assessment & portfolio management. Mr. Shook has a Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics from the University of Saskatchewan.
